We will be working our way through the books of I & II Timothy. The group will be led by Ken Smith, along with a couple of other facilitators.

The group will meet in the Fellowship Hall following the morning service. All are welcome!

Pastor Appreciation Month

Let’s take time this month to show our love and gratitude for our pastors! We are incredibly blessed by their leadership, their teaching, and the many ways they serve our church and community. Whether it’s a kind note, a word of encouragement, a prayer, or a small gift — let’s make sure our pastors know how much we appreciate them. If you would like to give to the pastors during the offering, please make a note of it on the offering envelope.

Grub n Scrub- Shower Ministry

Grub & Scrub will be held on Saturday, October 24, from 9:30 AM–12:00 PM. This ministry is an opportunity to serve those in our community who are unhoused by providing a warm meal, showers, clothing, and fellowship. If you are interested in serving with this ministry, please sign up in the foyer.

Anna Rickard- Baby Shower:

Please join us in celebrating Anna Rickard and her baby girl with a shower on Sunday, November 1st, following the service in the Fellowship Hall. We will be having a brunch-style menu, and if you would like to bring a dish to share, there is a sign-up sheet in the foyer. Anna has mentioned that she enjoys gluten-free items, but they are certainly not expected. Anna is also registered on Amazon. Bobbi Renwick will be collecting money for a group gift for anyone who would like to contribute.

Youth Mission- Qdoba Fundraiser

This summer, our youth will be heading to Loveland, Colorado, for their mission trip! While there, their service opportunities may include working with individuals with special needs, helping with building projects, assisting at a therapy farm, serving in local churches, and more. The youth will be holding several fundraising events to help offset the cost of the trip, with the first being a QDOBA Fundraiser! Sunday, November 1 | 4:00–8:00PM Stop by QDOBA between 4:00 and 8:00 PM, show them the fundraiser flyer, and 25% of your purchase will go toward supporting our youth mission trip! Prefer to order online? The flyer also includes a QR code for online orders. Come enjoy a great meal while supporting our youth as they prepare to serve in Loveland, Colorado!

(Doors open at 6:00pm) - To carpool, leaving THBC at 4:00pm, stopping at Culver's in Big Rapids for an early dinner, before heading to Van Andel for the concert.

Cost: $69 if you want to sit with our group. These are the lowest cost option tickets. Contact Sarah Kline by Nov 1st to purchase your ticket by cash/check or

venmo @Sarah-Kline-62. If anyone wants to purchase tickets on their own for higher cost seats, they are still welcome to carpool with the group.

November 7th & 8th

Annual Missions Conference:

SAVE THE DATE! - Annual Missions Conference November 7th & 8th. We are excited to welcome Bridget Roberts, Executive Director of Life Resources of Northern Michigan, and Doug Smith, Executive Director of Center Lake Bible Camp in Tustin, Michigan. Saturday, the 7th, is the Progressive Dinner, with registration starting at 5:45 PM. Hear from the missions we supported over the past year while enjoying a three-course meal. On Sunday morning, the 8th, hear a brief summary from each of the missionaries during the service and have a chance to visit with them at their display tables in the lobby before and after the service

Quarterly Business Meeting:

We will have a short business meeting following the service on Sunday, November 8th. Reports will be available at the Welcome Center beginning Sunday, November 1st.

Women and Teen Girls Event- Gather & Give:

Cooking Class & Testimony — Saturday, November 14, 10:00 AM–Noon in the THBC Gym Kitchen. Come gather in the kitchen with us! We’ll learn to make a couple of delicious soups from some of the talented cooks in our own group while hearing a personal testimony of God’s faithfulness. Then, we’ll put what we’ve learned to good use by preparing meal baskets to deliver to our shut-ins and sharing a little warmth and encouragement from our church family.
